FAQs To Join Coffs Coast Sole Sisters

We have a variety of walks suitable for beginners to more experienced hikers. When booking into a walk be sure to read all the details such as how long the walk is, whether it has steep ascents, creek crossings and the grade.

Bushwalking trails are graded to indicate the level of difficulty, fitness, and experience required for a safe and enjoyable hike. The Australian Walking Track Grading System, used by NSW National Parks, categorises walks into five grades, from Grade 1 (Easy) to Grade 5 (Very Hard).

There are always hazards and risks with any type of bushwalking and hiking. We will ask you to sign an Acknowledgement of Risk and Obligations.  Choose a walk within your capabilities, be appropriately dressed, bring water and food, and carry the right gear.  Remember, you are responsible for your safety.

Please refer to Bushwalking Manual and on the Bushwalking NSW websitehttps://www.bushwalkingnsw.org.au/getting-started-on-your-first-walk/

We are affiliated with Bushwalking NSW, so our leaders and members are insured.

Contact the leader to let her know this is your first walk and have a chat, so you know what to expect, what to wear & bring.

Notify the leader of any Medical Alerts and check if your emergency contacts are up-to-date on the website.

Be assured the leader and other experienced walkers will be checking in on you and supporting you.
